Our History

Schuylkill Memorial Park was established in 1945 as the area’s first non-denominational memorial park. The cemetery grew under the ownership of Kenneth and Martha Reynolds. Frank and Janet Reynolds Grabowski purchased the cemetery and funeral home. Their son, Christopher, is Supervisor of Grabowski Funeral Home.

How are we different?

Schuylkill Memorial Park and Grabowski Funeral Home are the only combination cemetery and funeral home situated at one convenient location in the area.  This allows us to control all of the details of your funeral and cemetery arrangements without having to coordinate the schedules of different entities. By using our funeral home for your service as well as our cemetery for your final arrangements, the inconvenience of a long procession on busy highways from the funeral home to the cemetery is eliminated. You can be assured of receiving our full attention whether you use both of our facilities or just use us for your funeral service or for our cemetery services.

We are always happy to provide you with information on any of our services with no obligation and no cost.  Let us show you how we can make your final wishes less stressful and show you how our programs can save you money.

Hello Chris:

I want to express my sincere Thanks to Chris Grabowski and the staff at Grabowski Funeral Home for their excellent services they provided. My father had previously made his arrangements with Grabowski Funeral Home and told us when the time came to just call them.

The dignity and respect that was shown down to the last detail was incredible and truly appreciated. I will highly recommend Grabowski Funeral Home to my friends and family.

Many thanks.

-The Downs and McKague Family

To Schuylkill Memorial Staff:

Our entire family owes a great thank you to Chris, his brother and his parents. In a time of confusion, the staff and everyone involved, helped us through all the unexpected and expected events.

You were right by our side – more as a good friend. No request was too big or small to attend to. Even warming two crock pots for the luncheon afterwards (due to a mix up).

Again thank you – the entire Grabowski Funeral Home family and staff. The building is like stepping into a well kept smartly decorated cottage. Thank you for your attentiveness to every detail.

Chris:

We just wanted to express our thanks to you and your staff for providing excellent services throughout Robert Heisler’s funeral.

Cannot thank you enough!

To Schuylkill Memorial Staff

While attending the funeral for my father, Herbert Schneider, my mother, Mildred, was impressed with your funeral home and commented that she would like to have her final service at your facility and I honored her wishes.

Even though it was to be a graveside service, you were very accommodating with a viewing in your beautiful chapel. We were very pleased with every detail which was handled so professionally with compassion and understanding. No one could have been more accommodating. Thank you.

To Schuylkill Memorial Staff

Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Just a note to mention your thoughtful kindness, your attention to detail, and the respect you displayed at Mother’s internment.

A heartfelt Thank You.

Chris,

Just wanted to express my thanks and admiration for the services you and the staff at Schuylkill Memorial and Grabowski’s Funeral Home provided for the interment of our parents’, (Ken and JeanAlice Fehr) ashes. Coming from another state could have been difficult and confusing but you made the whole process smooth and seamless. Our family is grateful for your help working to make a difficult time less stressful.

Sincerely,

Karenjean, Scott, Travis and Danny Krammes

Flower & Wreath Program

Schuylkill Memorial Park is proud to offer programs that allow people who may be out of the area, or unable to come to their loved one’s grave, to place flowers or a wreath.

Fresh Flowers
Starting the first week in April through the last week in October, flowers are placed on graves every Friday of each week.

Wreath Program
Natural and artificial wreaths and trees are used to decorate grave sites in the winter months. Decorations are on stakes that remain visible throughout the winter months.
