About Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery
Schuylkill Memorial Park was established in 1945 and at the time was the area’s only non-denominational cemetery. Through the years we have grown to over 35 developed acres with over 12,000 burials on the property. Shortly after the development of the park it was purchased by Kenneth and Martha Reynolds. After Ken’s passing Martha ran the day to day operation until her health forced her to step down as President.
Operation of the cemetery is currently run by Ken and Martha’s son-in-law, Frank Grabowski, who in addition to being a licensed funeral director is also a past President of the Pennsylvania Cemetery Cremation and Funeral Association. With the help of his son Christopher Grabowski, they have continued the established tradition of helping the area’s families arrange burial services, educate families on preplanning and assist in monument design that is fitting to the life lived.
About Grabowski Funeral Home
The funeral home was an addition to the structure and the level of services offered at the park in the early 90’s. Christopher Grabowski has been the supervisor of the facility since 2006 allowing the Grabowski family to arrange all aspects of services for your loved one. The ease and use of the facility on the cemetery grounds makes services more convenient for the family along with reducing costs by alleviating unnecessary vehicle and transportation costs. While being on the property provides convenience, the funeral home serves other cemeteries and conducts services off site at a church or other facility. Even without burial at Schuylkill Memorial Park our families still get the benefit and knowledge of working with a full-service provider.
What are the benefits of using a combination cemetery and funeral home?
Schuylkill Memorial Park and Grabowski Funeral Home are the only combination cemetery and funeral home situated at one convenient location in the area. This allows us to control all of the details of your funeral and cemetery arrangements without having to coordinate the schedules of different entities. By using our funeral home for your service as well as our cemetery for your final arrangements, the inconvenience of a long procession on busy highways from the funeral home to the cemetery is eliminated. You can be assured of receiving our full attention whether you use both of our facilities or just use us for your funeral service or for our cemetery services.
